Math Olympiad Rules 

  • Every student who intends to participate in the exam must have a valid identification card such as a passport or ID.
  • Before and during the exam, your surroundings will be checked by your laptop and mobile camera.
  • Having a calculator during the exam is considered a violation and you will be automatically removed from the exam.
  • Taking pictures or writing test questions is considered a violation and will cause you to be removed from the Olympiad.
  • Each participant in the Mathematical Olympiad must be alone in a closed room. If someone is with you, it will be considered a violation.
  • Using headphones, mobile phones or any radio device during the exam is considered a violation.
  • The duration of the International Mathematical Olympiad is one hour. If you don’t answer the questions in the allotted time, you will lose the points for that question.
  • The questions in the math Olympiad are presented in multiple choice.
  • If two or more people get the same score in the test, the first person will be determined based on the time of completing the questions.
    • Note: If by luck these two people who have scored the same points and even finished the Olympiad in the same time, both of them will win jointly and the prize will be divided between these two people.
  • The prize for the first to third place will be deposited into their account within 15 days after the results and coordination with the winners have been determined, and a receipt will be sent to them via email. Be careful that the prize amount is only deposited into the account in the person’s own name.
    • Note: For grade 1 to 3 Olympiad, if the students do not have a bank account, the prize will be deposited into the parent’s account after confirming the identity of one of the parents.
  • A certificate and a letter of recommendation that includes explanations about the test and its difficulty level will be sent to all participants after the test.
  • Each certificate issued by us contains a unique barcode that can be queried and checked on our website.
  • Because Hiba Math Olympiad is held internationally and there is a time difference between countries, the result of the test will be announced on our website 72 hours after it is held. Also, the results of the Olympiad will be sent to the participants via email.

Online Exam System – Participation Rules

The Global Online Math Olympiad 2026 will be conducted entirely online. To participate, please carefully read the following requirements and rules:

  1. Device Requirements

    • You must have a computer or laptop with a stable internet connection.

    • You must use two active webcams:

      • One camera in front of you showing your face clearly.

      • A second camera placed at an angle to show your hands and surrounding area.

  2. During the Exam

    • Calculators are strictly prohibited.

    • You may use blank white paper, a pencil, and a pen for your work.

    • One or more online proctors will monitor your exam in real time.

    • If you attempt to open another browser tab, window, or application during the exam, you will be immediately disqualified.

    • The use of Artificial Intelligence tools is strictly forbidden.

    • If your webcam feed is blocked, blurred, or disconnected, you may be removed from the competition.

  3. Parental Support (for younger students)

    • Parents may assist in setting up the equipment before the exam begins.

    • Once the Olympiad starts, parents must leave the room.

  4. Preparation & Test Access

    • 24 hours before the exam, you will receive an email with all technical requirements and setup instructions, along with a test environment to check your system.

    • 30 minutes before the Olympiad, you will receive your exam link. During this time, you and the proctor will verify your setup to ensure everything is ready.

Once all checks are complete, you are ready to begin the Olympiad.

1- Can I participate as an individual student?

Yes, each student can register individually for the Mathematics Olympiad.

2- My age is higher than what is stated on the website. Can I still participate in the Olympiad?

Yes, if your age is up to 6 months older than the age stated on the website, you can register for the Olympiad at that level.

3- Can I register for Olympiad levels above my age group?

Yes, if you feel capable and confident, you can register for higher-level Olympiad categories.

4- What are the terms and conditions of cancellation?

If you want to cancel your participation you must do it or inform us at least 20 days before Olympiad day. Your registration fee, minus a 10% processing charge, will be refunded to your account within 15 days.

5- I want to register and make the payment as the student’s parent. Will there be any issues?

No, not at all. Just make sure to enter the student’s full name instead of your own during registration, and be sure to upload your child’s valid passport or national ID.

6- If I win, how will the prize and certificates be sent to me?

Your prize will be transferred to the account you used during registration, and the receipt will be sent to you via email. Additionally, your certificate and participation letter will be sent to you by international mail.

7- Am I allowed to use a calculator in the Mathematic Olympiad?

No, you are not allowed to use a calculator or any electronic devices, such as a mobile phone, during the exam. If the exam supervisor notices this, you will be disqualified from the exam.

8- What am I allowed to bring with me during the Olympiad?

You are only allowed to bring a pencil and a blank sheet of paper, which will be checked by the supervisor before the exam.

9- How many minutes before the online Mathematics Olympiad should I be ready?

You must log in at least 20 minutes before the online Mathematics Olympiad so that the supervisor can perform the necessary checks. The instructions for attending the session and the session link will be sent to you via email one day before the Olympiad.

10- Can students from any country register?

Yes, as long as you meet the registration requirements, such as age and a valid ID, and have access to a computer, webcam, and internet, you can participate in the Mathematics Olympiad from any country. It is worth noting that this is an international Olympiad held worldwide.

11- What are the benefits of participating in your Mathematics Olympiad?

We also provide you with an official certificate and letter, which can help you with university or college applications and in obtaining scholarships.
